Our beginning
Essence Beauty Salon began in 2011 inside Plaza México, born from the ideas and encouragement of close friends and Claudia’s husband. Originally from Michoacán, Claudia brought her cultural pride, work ethic, and passion for beauty to every service. She believed that even essential workers deserve to look and feel good, and made it her mission to offer great service with heart. From day one, she stood out from the rest—thanks to her dedication, professionalism, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere she created.
Now
After expanding to Avándaro in 2014 and collaborating with stylists like Tony, Claudia continued building her vision. On November 1st, 2018, Essence opened its doors on East Lake Street, where it proudly stands today. The salon weathered the challenges of the pandemic, holding strong as a family business built on trust and resilience. With 9 talented employees, Essence Beauty Salon continues to offer expert services in hair, lashes, brows, and more—all while treating each client like family and every team member with the respect they deserve.
Future
Looking ahead, Essence Beauty Salon is focused on growth, innovation, and continuing to provide top-tier beauty services in a supportive, inclusive environment. Excellent customer service remains at the heart of everything we do. Claudia’s dream is to one day open a second location—possibly in the northern cities—so even more people can experience the care, skill, and style that define Essence. Our story is just beginning, and we’re excited for what’s next.
